Shira Pinson had worked as a freelance photographer and journalist before moving into films. She trained at the London Film School, taking a variety of roles on numerous productions. Whilst at the LFS, Shira Pinson was awarded a bursary from The One World Broadcasting Trust, a bursary given to only six students across the UK each year, to aid the development of her full-length documentary 'Flowers Don't Grow Here'. Shira currently works as a freelance director and editor whilst developing a full length documentary which is to be filmed in the Ukraine in 2008, as well as developing a series of short documentaries with a leading production company in the UK.
