James Burrell, a London based composer, writes and produces music for documentaries, childrens television, drama, commercials, websites and live events.

With a degree in English from Oxford University, James first worked as a development assistant, copywriter and music video producer.  He then launched his music production company, Brighter Day Music, in 2002.

With a client list that includes the BBC, Channel 4, Yorkshire Television, BT, Historic Royal Palaces, J Walter Thompson, the Mayor of London, the DTI, Jaguar and Photovoice, James has pursued a purposefully eclectic approach. The result is a depth of experience and adaptability which enables him to respond to a great variety of creative needs and compose the right music for each individual project.
